DroneEye — The Sky Where Every Flight Becomes a Mission
Accessibility

DroneEye Accessibility Statement

We are committed to making DroneEye usable by everyone, regardless of ability or the technology they use to access the platform.

Last reviewed: April 2026

Our commitment

DroneEye targets conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We continually audit our interface, address reported issues, and include accessibility requirements in our development process from the start.

Visual clarity

We use sufficient colour contrast across all text and interactive elements, following WCAG 2.1 AA minimum requirements. Font sizes scale with browser settings and system text size preferences.

Keyboard navigation

Every interactive element on the platform is reachable and operable via keyboard alone. Focus indicators are visible and meet contrast requirements. Modal dialogs trap focus correctly and restore it on close.

Responsive design

The platform is fully usable at viewport widths from 320 px upward. Tap targets on mobile meet the WCAG 2.5.5 minimum size recommendation. Layouts reflow without horizontal scrolling at 400% zoom.

Screen reader support

Pages use semantic HTML5 landmarks, ARIA labels where required, and meaningful alternative text on all images. Dynamic content updates are announced appropriately using live regions.

Standards and guidelines we follow

WCAG 2.1 Level AA
WAI-ARIA 1.2 authoring practices
ARIA Landmarks specification
HTML5 semantic document structure

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some areas of the platform currently have known accessibility limitations. We are actively working to resolve these:

  • The interactive map component on the Find Mission page has limited screen reader support — a text-based filter alternative is available.
  • Some PDF documents linked from pilot profiles may not be fully accessible. We are working on providing accessible summaries.
  • Auto-playing video content is not currently used anywhere on the platform.
